This is a website about the things that I make in my workshop.

I quite like making things, and I don't write about all of them, but they tend to include:

The idea started when I built the workshop: I made detailed notes as I went, in case I needed to refer back to them later. Just how far apart were the timber studs? What insulation did I use in the walls? Should I have fitted external sockets? (600mm, Rockwool Flexi, and Yes respectively).

When designing the workshop I found plenty of useful advice in books and online - it seemed only fair to return the favour and share my experiences. It seems reasonable that other people will be making similar things and with any luck, my experiences might be helpful.

As a result, this is not intended as a step-by-step instruction guide and I do not profess to be an expert in any particular discipline. It's a record of how I did it, which may not be optimal (or even correct), but at the very least I hope it is useful and interesting if you're embarking on similar projects!
